Predeceased by father, Robert J. Grittner, sister, Louisa M. (Grittner) Knapp.

Survived by Jean M. (White) Grittner, Chuck’s wife of 25 years , mother Patricia L. (Corbin) Grittner, son Matthew S. Grittner, daughter Sandra J. [Grittner] Rakiec, son-in-law Joseph Rakiec and grandson Corbin J. Rakiec. Also survived by Jean’s family, brothers Mike, Jim, Tom and Steve White, sisters Mary (White) VanNortwick and Teresa (White) Evans, beloved in laws Peggy White, Tracy White, Pam White and Gary Evans. Additionally, Chuck will be remembered by many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and colleagues.

Chuck was an honorably discharged Vietnam veteran having served in the United States Army.

Chuck had a very accomplished career in the automotive industry including positions of management, technical support, troubleshooting, and writing.

A life honoring memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 4, at 3 PM at Medina United Methodist Church on Foote Road with visitation at the church from 2-3 and 4-5PM. Military burial to follow at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, Rittman, OH (Median) at a future date.

The family requests donations made in lieu of flowers be sent to Berea Animal Rescue Friends (ARF), 440-234-2034. Chuck was an avid lover of cats.
