Deloris J. McLain

Deloris Jean McLain

Deloris Jean McLain “Dee”, 64, of Brunswick, Ohio passed away on Sunday May 21, 2017 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Logan, West Virginia on September 14, 1952 to Mavis and Vernie Bare (deceased). She is survived by her loving children Vicki McCloskey and Charles (Paige) McLain. Dee was a proud Grandmother to Ericka, Kendall, Kelsey, Alex, and Liam, as well as Great Grandmother to Merrick. She is also survived by her sister Delma Hamblen, husband Timothy Hamblen, niece Samantha and nephews TJ and Joseph Hamblen, great nieces Dorothy and Allison, and great nephews Aaron, Tim, and Michael.
Dee loved jewelry, history, and her guilty pleasures World of Warcraft and Pepsi. She loved her entire family and the family dog, Luka. Dee’s battle with cancer started May of 2016, and after a brief remission, in March of 2017 it was discovered that it had spread to her brain. As she had already undergone extensive chemo and radiation, she chose to no longer seek treatment. She fought hard in hopes of meeting her first great grandson, and was able to achieve that goal and more as she spent many hours with him and the rest of her family that she cherished. Per Dee’s wishes, no memorial or visitation services will be held. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the family.
