Frank J. Slayko III

Slayko Frank 2

Frank J. Slayko III completed his life’s journey on November 15th, 2017.
Frank was born and raised in New York, a place he loved. He was a devoted husband of 35 years to his wife Sandra. Together they shared four children; Mary Lawson (Maurice) Frank Slayko IV (Jackie), Shannon Scherler, and Jennifer Besmen (Erick). Frank was a loving father and a doting grandfather. He lived his life with an open heart and a love of the outdoors, virtues he instilled in all five grandchildren; Danielle Cervellino (Emily), Alexis Cervellino, Shayla Lawson, Lyrik Lawson, and Paige Besmen. Frank will also be greatly missed by his siblings; Kim Slayko (Karen), Michael Slayko (Carol), and Agnes Gibbs (Todd), as well as his nieces; Jennifer Dozanti (Nick) and Maggie Rollins and his nephews; Matt Slayko, Michael Slayko and Kim Slayko Jr. (deceased). As an avid outdoorsman, Frank loved to hunt and fish. Watching NASCAR and local sports teams compete were also welcomed pastimes. He had many lifelong friends and was a well loved handy man in his community. Frank leaves behind not only his family but a life well lived. Per Frank’s wishes, the family will not be holding a service but encourage all those who loved him to not mourn his death, but to celebrate his life, as he certainly did.
