Roy R. Gair

Roy Gair Photo

Roy Ross Gair, 71, peacefully passed away October 26, 2018. Roy was born in Cleveland, Ohio. He graduated from James Ford Rhodes High School. Roy made friends wherever he went. Many people in the Old Brooklyn area can say they have had many “Roy sightings” throughout the years. In his familiar red Marc’s jacket or his orange/grey winter coat (believe us – he had other coats to choose from!) There is no doubt that Roy got in his 10,000 steps a day! In his younger years, Roy was part of workshops with the United Cerebral Palsy Society, and he worked at Burger King (no surprise! ). Roy was not only intelligent, but a kind, loving and very funny man. Roy loved Mad and Cracked Magazines as well as Hot Rod Cars! Everyone who met him, loved him! Roy’s favorite daily places to go the last few years was the Burger King on Pearl road, and being part of the family at McGregor Pace Senior Care in Old Brooklyn. Roy will be greatly missed. He is survived by his sister Joyce (Chuck) Walker, brother Robert Gair, and Nieces and Nephews who loved him dearly. Roy was predeceased by his mother, Irene Gair, father Roy Gair and sister Gayle (John) Wray.

His Memorial Gathering will take place on Monday, November 5th from 7:00 – 8:00 pm at Yurch Funeral Home, 5618 Broadview Rd, Cleveland, OH 44134.

In lieu of flowers, Memorial donations may be made in Roy’s name to the McGregor Pace Senior Care Center, 4229 Pearl Road, Cleveland, Ohio 44109, to the attention of Ms. Ebony Adams.

We called Roy “That Guy” because rain or snow he would be walking down the street And we would say “there’s that guy!” he would always wave and smile when we said hello. Greatly missed

Ray was a member of the Snow White donut gang. Always fondly remembered, he was a kind man of gentle humor. Rest in peace. Fred and Shirley Palumbo
