The Lima Company “Eyes of Freedom” Memorial – Cleveland Cremation

We were honored to be able to spend the weekend with The Lima Company “Eyes of Freedom” traveling memorial. The memorial arrived in Strongsville, OH on Friday, June 14 and was greeted by Strongsville Police and Fire, Rolling Thunder Chapter 8 and a Brunswick Police humvee. These groups then escorted this memorial to Jardine Funeral Home where there was an extremely patriotic, warm welcome.
“Eyes of Freedom” was given a welcome like they had never seen before. The United States Marine Corps 3/25 Color Guard posted Colors along side the Strongsville VFW Post 3345 Honor Guard. The Boys Scout Troop 701 lead us in the Pledge of Allegiance. Crystal Jardine and Cpl Mike Strahle gave a welcome speech to the crowd. Last but not least, the “Eyes of Freedom” trailer was saluted for the very first time ever by the Gung Ho Detachment USMC 640. Linda Gregson, the chaplin at Southwest Hospice, lead us in the closing prayer.

This is the memorial set up inside our facility. It was perfect!
We were presented with the USMC flag that everyone who saw the memorial signed.
During the 3 days the memorial was with us, we had the honor of speaking with so many Veterans who shared their stories with us. The emotions were intense, but healing.
