Cleveland Cremation Artist Trading Cards for Hospice Nurses

March 29, 2012

Have you ever heard of Artist Trading Cards?

This new phenomenon is a growing rage encouraging creativity, individuality, interaction, and even social graces. Artist trading cards (or ATCs) are miniature works of art that are usually traded or exchanged. The ATC movement developed out of the mail art movement and has its origins in Switzerland.

Cards are produced in various media, including dry …media (pencils, pens, markers, etc.), wet media (watercolor, acrylic paints, etc.), paper media (in the form of collage, papercuts, found objects, etc.) or even metals or cloth.

Today, Cornerstone of Hope explained to us this new technique and taught us it’s a way to Care for the Caregivers. Designing these miniature pieces of art for special people in our lives is a way to encourage caregivers to get together, be creative, network, and most importantly, take time for themselves.

This is another way that Cleveland Cremation is going to reach out to Cleveland area hospice nurses, social workers, chaplains and volunteers.
