Terry W. Griffith

Terry William Griffith, 82, of Covington, Georgia, peacefully passed on June 29, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Tarentum, Pennsylvania, Terry was the beloved son of Carl and Mary Griffith. He lived a life marked by dedication to family, a strong work ethic, and a genuine appreciation for the simple joys in life. A standout professional baseball prospect in his youth, Terry was a lifelong athlete who shared a passion for golf with all he knew. Terry shared a loving marriage with his devoted wife, Dorothy, for sixty wonderful years. Together they built a family that created the center of his life. With chapters taking them from Pittsburgh, PA, and Deep Creek Lake, MD, to Central New Jersey, and ultimately Covington, GA, Terry and Dot created a close and supportive network wherever they established home. Terry enjoyed a successful career as an Industrial Sales Manager, where he earned the respect of colleagues through his professionalism, integrity, and commitment. Outside of work, he found happiness on the golf course, in his woodworking shop, and, most importantly, his family. Whether building something with his hands, sharing stories, or cheering on his grandchildren, Terry prized every moment spent with those he treasured. He is lovingly remembered by his wife, Dorothy Griffith; his brother, Carl Griffith; his sister, Charlotte Weidner; his son, Terry Griffith, Jr. (Betsy); his daughters, Shannan Holodinski (John), and Sheri Griffith (Scott); and his six beloved grandchildren: Samantha Holodinski, Jack Holodinski, Joey Holodinski, Emma Griffith, Sheri Holodinski, and Lily Griffith. Terry was famously known as “keeper of the treats,” for Parker and Jagger. Active in his younger years within the Masonic Fraternity and the Elks, Terry will be remembered for his kindness, steady presence, quiet strength, and unwavering love for his children and grandchildren. His legacy lives on through the values he instilled in those who knew and loved him. He will be deeply missed and forever cherished by his family, friends, and all whose lives he touched. A Celebration of Terry’s life will take place at Ashton Hills Golf Club, 10400 By Pass Road, Covington, GA on Saturday, October 3, 2026 at 2:00pm.
