Obituary for Patricia Ruth Raass Piecuch

Patricia “Pat” Piecuch (nee Raass), age 76, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 20 at Parkside Villa in Middleburg Heights, OH. She was born in Detroit on October 20, 1934 to Lawrence and Thelma Raass, who preceded her in death. A devoted mother of four and grandmother of 14, Pat attended Wayne State University in Detroit and worked as a librarian for the Detroit Public Library system and secretary at Fairhaven Church in Centerville, OH – where she was also an active volunteer.

Survivors include her daughters Susan (Piecuch) Lyon of Strongsville, OH and Jennifer (Piecuch) Callahan of Reston, VA; and sons Kevin Piecuch of Grosse Pointe Farms, MI and Brian Piecuch of Holland, MI. 

She is also survived by sisters Lois (Raass) Simard of Petoskey, MI and Lynda (Raass) Christensen of Murphy, NC; as well as her brother, Dr. David Raass of Naples, FL and many beloved nieces and nephews.  

Visitation will be from 10 – 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 24 at Fairhaven Church, 637 East Whipp Road in Centerville, OH.  A memorial service beginning at 11:00 a.m. will follow.
