Jeffry Charles Ramunni, 60, of Grove City, Ohio passed away on June 27, 2018 after a short but courageous battle with cancer. He was born in Cleveland Ohio in May, 1958 to Audrey (Joe) Dmitruk and the late Joseph Ramunni,Sr. He will be sorely missed by his beloved daughter Amanda Ramunni, sons Jeffry Ramunni (Cheryl) and Jeremy Ramunni and their mother, Diane Ramunni. He will be forever remembered by his beloved friend and companion, Jackie Nash. He was an incredible brother to 7 siblings; Sandy (Frank) Kynerd, Sharon (Tim) Thomas , Joseph (Renee) Ramunni, Sally (Bob) Morris, Jim (Linda) Ramunni, Jack (Connie) Ramunni, and Jay (Chris) Ramunni. Jeff was the favored uncle to 26 nieces and nephews and 33 great-nieces and nephews.

Jeff was passionate about his family. Spending time together laughing. Sharing stories and good eats. He loved being with family in the outdoors, camping, fishing, cooking over an open fire. He was an avid home chef of his own creations, taking great pleasure when cooking for others. He loved getting together for coffee and pastries, catching up on everyone’s lives.

Jeff had a beautiful heart for others with the ability to connect to a variety of people and personalities. He would help a stranger in need, welcoming him as a friend. He always shared a good laugh along with words of encouragement.

Jeff’s career centered around road construction where he was an operator, supervisor and applications specialist. He focused his expertise in soil stabilization, customizing and creating equipment, and fine tuning established applications. Jeff made himself available to mentor those wanting to learn more. He was respected and loved by all of his work family, leaving an impression with his funny comments and incredible knowledge of his field. It’s even been said that The Lord called Jeff home early to redesign and build the gates of heaven!

As Jeff would often say, “Today is a good day to have a good day.” May it be so.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, July 13 at 6:00 PM at The Vineyard Columbus, 6000 Cooper Rd, Westerville, Ohio 43081. Reception to follow. A Celebration of Life has also been scheduled for Sunday, July 15 from 4:00-7:00 PM at The Celebration Center (The Venue), 6384 Pearl Rd., Parma Heights, Ohio.

    A true and selfless friend he was. A modest man and great mentor to me in my early carrier, who could teach with such patience and passion, that it always turned into fun. The short time it was between him falling ill and his passing should all remind us to spend as much time as possible with the people we love.
