After 52 years in the Industrial Rubber business, Joe retired in 2011 at the age of 76! Spent many winters in Destin, FL with Dot. Met a lot of wonderful friends after retirement.

Joe loved to coach baseball in the early years, expanding Westlake’s little league program in the 70’s introducing a booster club. An avid traveler with his sales position, road trips were a delight knowing the best track to visit. He remained positive during the COVID19 pandemic. The last picture we have of him is a thumbs up through the blinds of Danbury Assisted Living.

To the many who loved and cherished him they will remember his contagious smile, positive attitude, unbelievable memory for dates and events, a charmer with the biggest heart. He often said ” Do the best your can” and “See you when I see you”. He ended every call with the treasured words I love you and the reply was always I love your more.

Dad – Until be embrace again. Thank you for being the best Dad one could want. You are so loved. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

    Dear Karen & Stephen,
Your dad, my dear uncle, had such a spark in his eyes. He remembered everyone’s birthday. And there were a lot of us nieces and nephews! Although it is sad to see him go, he is going to a better place with many who have gone before him and will welcome him with joy. Love you both!
