Kevin William Stanard, 61, of Grafton Township, OH, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, August 23, 2021. Kevin retired from Metrohealth Medical Center in Cleveland, OH, where he worked as a respiratory therapist for 30 years. He also volunteered as a paramedic with the Valley City Volunteer Fire Department and loved building additions to and renovating around his home.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Esther (nee Vectirelis), children Stephanie (Alex), Jessica, Christopher (dear friend Jennifer), granddaughter Savannah, and twin brother Keith. He was preceded in death by his parents Floyd and Lillian (nee Bergan).
The family will receive friends Saturday, August 28, 2021, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. in the Gathering Area of Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, 708 Erie St., Grafton. An 11:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will follow in the Sanctuary of the Church. The Rev. John P. Seabold, pastor, will be the Celebrant.
The family would like to express their deepest gratitude for the care and compassion shown by staff of Crossroads Hospice. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Kevin’s name can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105, or a charity of your choice.

    Very sorry to hear of the passing of Kevin. We spent many evenings in great conversations about everything it seems, except work. Our topics ranged from dogs, to problems he may have had working on his tractor. They were truly the good old days,

    I am so sorry to hear about Kevin’s passing…..he was an integral part of the Respiratory Therapy team at MetroHealth Health Medical Center. He demonstrated excellent leadership in difficult situations that occasionally occurred with our patients. He could be counted on to make sure that optimal respiratory therapy was always implemented. He will be really missed!!
