I first met Larry when my tech center closed and the company moved me to the Independence telephone central office. I’d never worked carrier systems before. Larry made time in his work day to teach me what I needed to know to get on board. From that time Larry became more than a coworker, we became friends. We worked together, shared our ideas and thoughts about how best to get the job done. When Larry retired, we would get together on Wednesdays over coffee and discuss just about anything, family, sports, politics, etc. After I retired we continued meeting every Wednesday over coffee, shooting the breeze (like us old guys do). Larry was a nice guy. He was there to help someone when they needed a hand. I have seen coworkers call him for help and he’d stop what he was doing and talk them though the problem. Everyone who really knew Larry liked and respected him. I am fortunate to have known him and blessed to have had him as a friend. I will miss him, but I will never forget Larry, my good friend.
    Brian
