Mark A. Davis

DAvis

Mark Anthony Davis, age 68 of Parma, OH, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 4, 2021.  He was born on April 16, 1953 in Dayton, Ohio to Franklin and Erma (nee Shaffer).  He is survived by his two daughters: Nikki (Dan) Powell, and Jen (Neal) Smith, 5 grandchildren, Logan, Cole, Dylan, Morgan, and Olivia, 3 brothers, Kenny, Rick, Dave, and two nieces.

He was an AMAZING Dad, Papa, and Friend to many.  In the summer, he could be found outside in Shark Island, listening to music, soaking up the sun, surrounded by family, friends, birds, and cheap tiki lights (Hi Vons).   Mark had a way of welcoming everyone into his heart and home.

The family asks that to honor their Dad, his friends share memories, stories, and pictures of his life.  Feel free to share yours for all to read.

Shark Island will reopen again next Spring for a one day celebration of his life.

Uncle Mark was my favorite uncle. I have fond memories of swimming at his house when I was a little girl and of his ginormous dog named Roscoe.

Thank you for your kind and open heart.

I think about Mark everyday. He was my neighbor and friend for over 20 years. So many memories and fun times. Frank and Mark would hang out and do projects together on our houses and cars. When Frank died Mark helped get me through some of the tougher times. I will miss hanging out with him chit chatting at the fence, the bomb fires, cook outs, and more. He was part of our family. Even Rambo would run over there when he got out of the yard. He loved to share how proud he was of his girls, son in laws and grandkids. He loved going to their games, school functions and really looked forward to those trips. Mark really loved his life. I miss him terribly but I know that he is experiencing such joy. I will hold all those memories close to my heart .

I think about Mark everyday. He was a friend and neighbor for over 20 years. So many memories chit chatting at the fence, bomb fires. Cookouts and more. He was a part of our family and even Rambo (dog) would run right over Mark’s when he got out of the yard. Frank and Mark did so many projects together. They helped neighbors all the time
.When Frank passed Mark was there for me and really helped get me through the worst moments. He was a natural at making people feel welcome. He always shared how proud he was of his girls, son in laws and grand children. He looked forward to their games and school functions and his trips. He really loved his life. I will miss him terribly but I know he is experiencing such joy right now and I know we will see him again one day. Until then I will hang on to those memories in my heart and appreciate the time I shared with him.

  4. Jim and Claire (Charlene) Yuschak says:

We will forever remember Mark as the life of the party and the kindest, most generous person. For some reason from the day he met me he called me Claire, not sure why, but I was OK with that and will always feel like “Claire”. He made us laugh and was full of mischief as well as compassion and love for the less fortunate and those who were hurting. I can’t imagine he ever met anyone who didn’t call him friend. The world lost a bright spot when he passed but I think he lives on at Shark Island.

  5. Ron P. says:

I fondly remember Mark as a great neighbor; friendly and helpful. Years ago he would snow blow my drive and
always refused money when I wanted to pay him. For Halloween and Christmas he would always decorate his front yard with big blow up decorations. I’m sorry I didn’t get to know him better. RIP Mark!
