Mary Obloy

Obloy

Mary Obloy (nee` Redovian) passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 23, 2020 at the age of 89, after a long battle with dementia/alzheimers. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward, parents Andy and Mary, her son, Michael, and her brother Martin. She is survived by her sons, Mark (Sue), Ken (Teri) daughter-in-law, Johanna, brother, Andy, sister, Helen Mikulik (Rich), her grandchildren, Katie, Michelle (D.J.), Danielle (Michael), Sara (Brian), Ken, Jr. (Nikki), Adam (Rachel), her great grandchildren, River, Ella & Jonah, Jacob, Grace and Holly, Matthew and GiGi, Jimmy and Hera.

The most important thing in Mary’s life, was her family, she always put them before herself, and had enjoyed a blessed full life with 65 years of marriage, three loving sons, six wonderful grandchildren and 10 beautiful great grandchildren. She enjoyed travel, especially her travels through Europe, spending time with her closest friends, Helen, Marge and Dolly and will be missed everyday.

Mary had a deep faith in the Byzantine/Catholic Church, and we all take comfort in knowing that she will be received by our Father with open arms, and will be re-united with her husband, Ed, her oldest son, Michael, her oldest brother, Martin, and all that have preceded her.

The Obloy family would especially like to thank the Parma Care Center, located in Parma, Ohio, along with the Hospice group for the exceptional care that they provided. They were wonderful, they welcomed our family and in particular, Mary’s granddaughter, Katie, as she played her piano weekly for the entertainment of the residents on Mary’s floor. Our family could not have asked for better care, communication and support.

Visitation will be held at St. Francis de Sales Church, 3434 George Ave, Parma, Ohio (corner of State & Snow Road) from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. with a Mass Service at 10:00 a.m. on SATURDAY, February 29, 2020. The family will have a luncheon following.
