Nancy Ann McLaughlin nee (Stacknick), 74
Passed away suddenly on Monday, July 2, 2018.
She is survived by her children, Tina and George Cranfield, Michael and Marie-Claire (Menough) McLaughlin, Annemarie McLaughlin, 12 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her father Stanley Stacknick, brothers Robert and Stanley Stacknick and her mother Ann Stacknick.
Nancy was a graduate of St. Peter High School, Class of 1965 and worked for Ambassador West Lanes, Mahall’s Lanes and worked for the Society of the Blind.
Nancy enjoyed bowling on several bowling leagues over the years and passed that love onto her children. She was involved in girl scouts with her oldest daughter and enjoyed telling stories about it often. She was known as “the lunch lady” at St. Ignatius while her kids were in school there and many of the neighborhood kids still talk about how they used to come over and play at her house all of the time. She loved spending time on her family’s property in Tionesta, Pennsylvania where she looked forward to attending the Annual Indian Festival each August. She loved spending time at the metroparks and often had family picnics at Wallace Lake in Berea. She loved fishing, fireworks, campfires and all things sweet and her grandchildren made it somewhat of a game trying to keep her from eating all of those sweets. Nancy loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and she is missed by them all!
A Celebration of Life will be held Wingz Sports Grill, 1061 Pearl Road, Brunswick, OH 44212 on Staurday, July 28th, from 2pm to 6pm.
Memorial contributions may be made c/o the McLaughlin Family.
