Ralph “Babe” Gonzales

Ralph Gonzales “Babe”age 83, on January 26,  2017 entered into Heaven and Eternal Life. He was son to Arthur and Sarah Gonzales (both deceased).  He was a great husband, father, brother, uncle, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend to many. He touched the lives of everyone he knew and everyone who talked to him.
“Babe” was born in Cleveland, Ohio and lived there his whole life. He also traveled to Texas
every winter because he didn’t like the cold weather. In Texas he would do what he did best and work flea markets which he loved and was in his blood. He also touched many lives throughout his lifetime. He spent his spare time going to Cleveland Indians and Cleveland Browns games, his grandchildren’s baseball games and family gatherings. He took weekly trips to Marc’s for deals and he enjoyed going to his Tuesday night poker games with all his buddies.
When he traveled to Texas he worked flea markets down there and travelled across the border to Mexico where he knew families that he had known for a long time. He would help these families with rebuilding their homes, bringing them necessary supplies or just visiting. These families considered him part of their family. When “Babe” came back to Cleveland he would also work weekly flea markets and was always looking for a good deal. It was also a place to meet new people and build long life friendships .
“Babe” is survived by his wife: Kathe Gonzales;  1st wife: Edith May Gonzales (deceased); father to: Geraldine Dell’Anno (Joe) (both deceased), Kathleen Hall (Mike), Ralph Gonzales (Theresa) (deceased), Christine Maggio (Christopher), and Tamara Lessman; step-father to: Caesar Castillo; brother to: Arthur Gonzales (Dee) (both deceased), Gloria Liebenguth (Al) (both deceased), Theresa Barnes (Al) (both deceased), Albert Gonzales (Teruko) and Diane Kumazec (Bob); uncle to: Adriane, Cynthia, Debbie, Gayle, Dawn, Artie, Edward, Sylvia, Vincent, Charlie, Bonnie, Arthur, Felicia, Tony, Robert, Kevin, Darla and Jill; grandfather to: Robert, Joseph, Billy, Jennifer, Geno, Morgan, Michael, Michelle, Jason, Amanda, Matthew, Jessie, Justin, Brandi, Mark, Matthew, Rebecca, Michael, Naomi, Katie, Nicholas, Alex, Isaiah, Sydney and Maximillion; great-grandfather to: Dominick, Teagan, Eli, Riley, Haley, Emma, Parker, Noah, Axel and Giana.

Babe will continue to be loved by many and will live on in the lives for all who have known him.

A MEMORIAL VISITATION will be held Thursday, Feb. 2 from 6-8 PM at the YURCH FUNERAL HOME, 5618 Broadview Road, Parma 44134. A FUNERAL MASS will be held on Friday at Mary Queen of Peace, 4423 Pearl Road Cleveland 44109 at 1:00 PM (MEET AT CHURCH). Interment to Follow at Brooklyn Heights Cemetery.
