Richard B. Bayless


Richard B. “Skip” Bayless passed away Thursday March 14, while in Hospice care, after suffering a heart attack. His loving wife and family by his side. He had a long 2 and a half year battle with congestive heart failure.
His paarents Bernard and Marion Bayless preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his brothers Paul, Bernie, Alfred, Bud, and sister Norma Jean. He also lost a grandson Damian Bayless. He will be forever missed by his sister Miki(Al) who survives. Nancy Bayless and Sue Bayless, dear sister in laws will also miss him.

He served in the United States Air Force from 1962 to 1966 as airman first class. He was a member of the Rockton Lodge No 316 in Kent Ohio and a member of The Order of Eastern Star, Ravenna Chapter #46. He followed in his father’s footsteps and began his career as a sprinkler fitter. He received his degree from Penn State. He went into over the road truck driving and then returned to pipe fitting until he retired.

He will be forever missed and cherished by his wife Camille of 30 years. He was the father of Perry, Dennis Pitts (Chris), Kelly Pitts, Richard, Donny(Colette) Cori, Alicia, Jennifer, and Rikki. He will also be missed by his many grandchildren and great grand children.
He was greeted at those Golden Gates by his best buds, Paul Tate, Fred Switzer, Brian Hidy, Joe Archer, and Earl Schafer.

Richard was cremated and there will be a Celebration of Life on Saturday, May 4, 2019 at 2:00 PM at the Ravenna Masonic Complex, 4785 Washington Avenue,
Ravenna, OH 44266.

    We became a large and diverse family, separated by time and distance. But our roots are common and provide a common flavor for all of us to enjoy. I pray our family love will grow as we all press toward our end of days.
