Thomas G. Kavulic

Kavulic Tom

Tom passed away peacefully on November 12, 2017 at home with his family after a brief battle with cancer at the age of 57. He was born February 12, 1960. Tom was born to Martin and Dorothy Kavulic and grew up in Seven Hills, Ohio with his brothers Dave, Rick, and Gerry. He graduated from Normandy High School in Parma. He attended Cuyahoga Community College and Cleveland State University. After completing his degree Tom moved on to work in the tech industry.

Tom loved to golf with his brother, Gerry. He enjoyed walking with his dog Louie. He could often be seen riding his bike in the neighborhood. He travelled extensively as part of his work, particularly enjoying his travels to Europe. In his youth, Tom raced sailboats on Lake Erie.

He enjoyed spending time with his wife of twenty-one years and their two children. When the children were younger the family enjoyed trips to Salt Fork State Park, and many trips to Florida. Tom and his wife Jacki enjoyed dining in downtown Cleveland and attending concerts.

Tom will be greatly missed by his wife, two children, and many friends and family he leaves behind. A dinner in memory of Tom will be held on Monday November, 20th, 2017 from 5-8 p.m at Merwin’s Wharf located at 1785 Merwin Avenue, Cleveland, Ohio. My heart is heavy as I try to come to grips with the news of Tom’s passing. Tom was a great friend. My memories of Tom go back to the mid 70’s. His laugh was infectious. Tom and I shared many good times throughout our years at Normandy and beyond. Our trip to California in 1977 is still to this day a memory I cherish. This news shakes your soul. I am so sad to here he was taken far too early.

Rest in peace my friend you will be missed.

    Jim
