Daniel Apathy
Daniel Apathy, age 57, lost his courageous battle with esophageal cancer on August 4, 2019. Loving husband of 25 years on August 20th to Shari (Brinks). Incredibly proud father of Sam, Ben, and Alex. Son of the late Albert and Arline. Brother of Margaret Nolan (Gary), Albert, Kathy Manning (Tim), Janet Renz (Bob), James (Lori), Paul (dcsd) (Cindy), Thomas (Janet), Mary Tolar, and Barbara Prusovic (Nick). Uncle and great uncle of many. Son in law of Larry and Patricia Brinks. Brother in law of Debra Colson. Friend to all who knew him. Dedicated service worker for the city of Brook Park for 31 years. A joyful celebration of Dan’s life will be held on Saturday September 21st from 2-6pm at Fatheads Restaurant and Brewery. 17450 Engle lake Dr. Middleburg Heights Oh.

I am so shocked and heartbroken for you, your boys, and your family. Both Dan, and you, gave such a strong and courageous fight against his illness. I am grateful that we were able to reconnect recently. His love & care for his brother (my dad) during his recent illness was genuine and selfless. I could tell how much his family meant to him even in our brief reunion. So much in love with his wife and so very proud of his boys. Gone much too soon & much too fast. So sorry for your loss as well as the loss of a friend,and union brother. Danny was always fun to be around. Him and I always considered ourselves lucky,grew up in a great city,and worked for that city.
Danny made the world and city a better place. I would often call him “Applehead”,he usually called me something that is unprintable. Yes a true friend. God broke the mold when he created Danny.
As one of the Brookpark kids growing up Dan always had a smile on his face and was one of the best. I only regret not keeping in touch with Dan other than Face book. Dan you will be missed by all you came in touch with Rest in peace my old friend and now you can be with your parents as well as lost friends.

My heart breaks when ever I think of the fun times at work. Danny’s one liners were always the BEST! Always make a bad day bright. He was a Great family man, and the best co-worker anyone could ask for. I miss you buddy! Blessings to ALL of his family.

An empty space has been left in our hearts but numerous great memories will last a lifetime. ‘Til we meet again.
Danny was always ready with a joke or a well timed witty comment. His presence was never unwelcomed and a better all round person you won’t find anywhere. My favorite Dannyism was “My name is Apathy….but I don’t care.” We Love and Miss you Dan!
