Daniel R. Tuma

DanTuma

Daniel Robert Tuma was born on August 22, 1966 in Parma, Ohio and passed away on February 21, 2023. He was the second son to Donald Tuma and Karen (Miller) Haggerty, both deceased. He was married in 1989 to Lisa Tuma (née Kopac) and they had two daughters, his “most precious possessions”, Paige Parker and Julia (Mike) McConahay. He has two brothers David Tuma and Donald (Gina) Tuma. Also stepdad Joe Haggerty and stepbrother Scott (Lena) Haggerty. Dan is a 1984 graduate of Valley Forge High School in Parma, Ohio. During his career, he worked in the trades as a welder, sign erector and then transitioned into computer sciences as a database administrator for the Cleveland Metropolitan school district for the past 22 years. He was baptized in 1988 at the summer District Convention of Jehovah’s Witnesses held in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Throughout his life, Dan enjoyed time with family, camping, white water rafting, boating, motorcycle riding, birds of prey, telling dad jokes and had a keen knowledge of classic rock music of the 60’s-90’s. Dan’s greatest pride and joy has come from his three grandsons Lucas Parker, Finn Parker and Jaxon McConahay. He will forever be known for being a kind soul and having a stunning smile. We look forward to seeing him again in Paradise.

My deepest condolences to the family. I was a fellow employee of CMSD, School Nutrition. Dan would conduct training sessions for staff members, and if we ever had an issue with the computer, Dan always resolved it immediately, we had no worries when Dan was around, he was a phone call away. I always appreciated his smile and sense of humor and way of putting a person at ease. Looking forward to seeing him in the new world.
