Gallagher

David M. Gallagher, 66, of Parma, Ohio, died on December 6, at Heroes Harbor Hospice of Louis Stokes VA Medical Center after a long battle with colon cancer.

He was born June 2, 1957, in Butler, PA to Louis and Mary Lou Gallagher (nee Delp). He is survived by his children, Jason Gallagher, Brea Neiheisel (nee Gallagher) and spouse Joe, their three children, Abigail (10), Jackson (8) and Peyton (6), sister, Diane DiVito (nee Gallagher) and spouse Sam, brother Lou Gallagher and spouse Carol (nee Pierce), and many nieces and nephews. Dave was preceded in death by his father Louis and brother Ron Gallagher.

Dave was a veteran who proudly served as a Staff Sergeant of the United States Air Force, where he was an electrician serving multiple bases, including overseas in Guam. As the family began to grow, Dave treasured spending time with his three grandchildren and loved being their Pap. Dave also loved his cats Angel, Dutchess, and Mr. Bojangles.

Dave will always be remembered for his sense of humor and ability to make others laugh. We’ll always imagine him singing and masking himself as his character Junior Birdman. Dave will be missed every day. His memory will live on in the hearts of all those who knew and loved him.

A Celebration of Dave’s life will take place at the Yurch Funeral Home, 5618 Broadview Road, Parma, OH 44134 on Tuesday, December 12, 2023, from 11:00 am – 12:30 pm.
