Eleanor I. Lewis (nee Schwandt), age 92 of Parma Heights, OH passed away peacefully in her sleep on Sunday, September 24, 2023, at Hospice of the Western Reserve Medina.  She was born July 24, 1931, in Cleveland, Ohio.  She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Albert and Emilie Schwandt, husband Jerome Lewis, and daughter Donna Lewis.  She is survived by her children, Betty (Ron) Cook, Cindy (Greg) Slepko, Theresa (Ferris Kleem) Lewis, Jerry (Kim) Lewis, grandchildren & great-grandchildren Tom Cook (Tara, Graysen and Sutton) Kayleigh Musil (Tim and Madelyn), Nicole Koteles (Chris and Kadence), Courtney Slepko, Ashley Kovachic (John, Addison and Brooklyn), Jacob Lewis, Jenna Lewis and Jackie Lewis, many relatives, friends and of course her grand dogs, Abby, Callie, Chubby, Drew, Jasper, Marshall, Penny and Sadie and grand cats Sly and Winnie.  

She was a devoted Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Aunt and friend to many.  She was an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching the Cleveland Browns and Guardians, playing slot machines, vacations to Las Vegas, watching her grandchildren growing up, playing sports, dance recitals, and spending time with her great grandchildren whom she simply adored and loved so much. 

Thank you to the Hospice of the Western Reserve for the wonderful care they provided for our mother and her family in her final days.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Eleanor I. Lewis to Hospice of the Western Reserve 5075 Windfall Rd. Medina, OH 44256 or online at hospicewr.org.

A Memorial Service will take place to receive family and friends on October 14, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. and service begins at 11:00 a.m. at Bethlehem Lutheran Church 7500 State Rd. Parma, OH 44134.

    So sorry to hear your loss but I know your mom/ grandmother is resting in the arms of our great Lord. No more pain and sorrow. She always had a smile for all the members at Bethlehem Lutheran Church and will be truly missed. Rest in pease Eleanor

    My heart goes out to the whole family. Aunt Eleanor was a very special lady.As other people have pointed out, she had a laugh that everyone knew! I loved to visit Aunt Eleanor and Uncle Jerry, and my cousins in the summer time. She was my favorite! Your mom and mine loved each other so much. She will surely be missed!
