Rick Pistor

Pistor
Rick Pistor of Westfield Center, Ohio passed away peacefully surrounded by his family after a short battle with cancer on July 25, 2023, at the age of 63. Born March 24, 1960, in Fort Thomas, Kentucky to the late William (Bill) and Laverne Lewis Pistor.
Rick spent 39 years happily married to the love of his life, Julie Pistor nee Taylor, and was a proud father to Casey (Nick) Vinez, Brittney (Ben) Weinerman, and Ryan Pistor and devoted papa to his grandchildren Haidyn and Luke Vinez, and eldest brother to Ron Pistor, and Randy (Misty) Pistor.
The most defining element of Rick’s life was his absolute devotion to his family. He never missed a moment to tell his family how much he loved them. Rick was so proud of his children, he bragged about them often. He was always planning fun, family adventures to the beach where he would cook a big seafood boil. Known as Papa Rick, he enjoyed spending as much time as possible with his grandkids having endless fun, together they enjoyed making fires to cook hotdogs and smores.
As a Cleveland sports fan, Rick and his family loved watching Browns games together; during the losing streaks you would always find him re-watching the winning games.
Rick knew how to have a good time and often connected to others through music. You could find him hunting for classic rock albums and then jamming out to those records in his man cave with his friends and family. He was also an avid collector of Ohio Stoneware and enjoyed spending his weekends at antique shows and flea markets. He also enjoyed visiting comic cons with his son Ryan.
Rick spent his entire career dedicated to the printing industry. He began running his own print shop in Medina, Ohio. He then worked for Mead Paper, and later spent 20 years as a technical representative with Braden Sutphin Ink Co. and ended his career in sales with A-Korn Roller. Taking immense pride in his work and in his collegial relationships, Rick’s  customers will remember him as more than their sales rep but rather as a loyal friend.
A Celebration of Rick’s Life will be held on August 26, 2023 from 1 to 5pm.  Please contact the family for location.
