Willie J. Twiggs, age 74 of Cleveland, OH passed away peacefully on Thursday April 20, 2023. He was born January 30, 1949 in Bell County, Texas to Richard L. Twiggs Jr. and Mattie (Dabney) Twiggs. He is survived by two brothers Charles W. Lewis and wife Irma of Valrico FL and Richard L. Twiggs, III of Massillon, Ohio and sister Sheila A. Clifford and husband Erskine of Massillon, Ohio. Also survived by special cousin Thelma Spencer and husband Thomas Jr. of Massillon, Ohio, nieces, nephews and special friends Patricia A. Hope and Nugene Stewart. Willie was preceded in death by his parents and niece Brooke L. Turner.

Willie enjoyed watching all Cleveland sports, local news and politics. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

A Memorial and Celebration of Willie’s life will take place on May 27 , 2023.

    I remember him fondly as cool, older guy. Also, seeing his Dad, he and brothers at St. James AMEZ, Massillon, Ohio. It was encouraging to see.

    Thanking the Lord for the mercy, Grace and comfort He provides, and the privilege of praying with others who loved him and the whole Twiggs family! Peace be unto you.
